Code of Conduct for Parents
At Fluxo Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, we believe that a positive and respectful environment is essential for the success and well-being of all our students, parents, and instructors. To maintain this environment, we kindly ask all parents to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:
1. Respect the Learning Environment
• Refrain from distracting your child or other students during class. Allow the instructors to lead the session without interruption.
• Avoid coaching or giving instructions to your child during class. Trust our qualified instructors to provide proper guidance.
2. Positive Support and Encouragement
• Encourage your child to do their best and focus on effort and growth, rather than solely on winning or losing.
• Celebrate your child’s progress and achievements, no matter how big or small.
3. Respect for Instructors and Staff
• Treat all instructors, staff, and other parents with respect and courtesy.
• Address any questions or concerns privately with the instructor after class, rather than during the session.
4. Punctuality and Attendance
• Ensure your child arrives on time for class with the proper uniform and equipment.
• Pick up your child promptly after class to allow instructors to stay on schedule.
5. Sportsmanship and Team Spirit
• Promote good sportsmanship by encouraging respect for teammates, instructors, and opponents.
• Avoid negative comments or behavior towards other children or parents.
6. Health and Safety
• Notify instructors of any injuries, illnesses, or conditions that may affect your child’s ability to participate.
• Keep your child home if they are feeling unwell to prevent the spread of illness.
7. Facility Etiquette
• Supervise siblings and other children who are not participating in class to ensure they remain respectful of the facility and others.
• Keep the viewing area clean and free of clutter. Dispose of trash properly.
8. Conflict Resolution
• Address any disputes or concerns calmly and respectfully with the instructors or staff. Avoid confrontations with other parents or students.
• If necessary, schedule a meeting with the head instructor to resolve any issues privately and professionally.
9. Social Media and Privacy
• Obtain permission before posting photos or videos of students, instructors, or events on social media.
• Be mindful of sharing sensitive information related to the school or its members.
10. Be a Role Model
• Demonstrate respect, kindness, and patience, as your actions set an example for your child and others.
By following this Code of Conduct, you contribute to the supportive and respectful environment that makes Fluxo Brazilian Jiu Jitsu a place for growth, learning, and community. Thank you for your cooperation and for being an integral part of our team!
