Strength and Skill go hand in hand. Strength makes skill more effective, and skill makes strength more relevant. Both feed each other. Our group classes are devoted to increasing both facets. Students can expect body weight exercises that aid Jiu Jitsu movements at an intensity that increases the bodies basic movement competencies. In the section to follow, students can expect a structured curriculum designed to introduce the student to basic concepts of Jiu Jitsu and later progressing to advanced components.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Conditioning & Drilling
Mondays and Wednesdays 7:30 - 9:00 PM

The goal is to become unconsciously competent in moving our bodies. This class is designed with a focus on intense repetition. Adding intensity to repetition plays a major role in training, it aids in building a deeper connection with Jiu-Jitsu. High intensity training not only challenges our physicality, but also, our mental state and it forces one to remain calm under duress.
Once you have cultivated your skill, sharpening your skill is equally as important.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Sparring
Saturdays 11:00 - 12:30 PM
45minutes Physical Conditioning x 45minutes Situational/Free Sparring
The more you roll, the more you know. By trial and error you will accelerate your level of competence. In this class the emphasis is on sparring. During sparring students will learn to engage under the rule set of Jiu-Jitsu competitions. This class permits students to be creative with the skills they have cultivated during their FUN-damentals class.
